Job Description
Description: This Sales and Marketing Assistant is critical to supporting our Sales Team. This position works closely with our internal team, customers and our vendors. Day to day responsibilities include assisting the Sales Team with marketing strategies and product branding essential for the growth of the business. You will also be responsible for processing orders and communicating with our corporate office. The work is fast paced and requires strong organization and communication along with attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Work closely with sales associate to create and maintain client relationships Enter orders into our Oracle PeopleSoft program and verify all costs prior to billing clients Manage product inventory and consult with sales associates and clients to make recommendations on reorders Maintain a project log to keep orders on track Brainstorm with Sales Team and clients to suggest product ideas Provide product and pricing information by working with customers and vendors Prepares client presentations and proposals to aid in the acquisition of new client business Work with clients on invoice questions and payments Create customer mailings with seasonal catalogs, samples and personalized messages Occasional day and/or overnight travel is required to attend industry conferences, client meetings or vendor meetings.

A.) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school in Business Management or Sales and Marketing preferred. Experience in the direct mail, print or promotional products industry or experience working in a production/logistics position is preferred. Inter-personal Skills: Attention to Detail, Professionalism, Work independently and in a team setting, Self- Development, Time Management, Project Management, Problem Resolution Computer Skills Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, understand computer technology and terms and have experience working with internet based programs and email. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, purchase orders, vouchers and invoices. Must be able to effectively write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with vendors, customers, fellow employees, management and Sales Associates of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Most work is done at a computer work station, which requires repetitive wrist and hand movement. Duties require sight, speech and hearing.
